At Stoke College children are busy and happy. There is a unique atmosphere of kindness and support, provided not just by the staff, but created by the pupils themselves. They look after each other, they respect each other and through this mutual respect, they each grow in confidence in every challenge they take on.
They look forward to coming to school where learning is fun and everyone is valued. Each and every child in the school is taught according to their needs and abilities. We ensure that their personal talents are nurtured and they are set achievable goals which they have to strive for. This is not just in academic studies but in the arts, technologies and sport, developing their communication and life skills at every stage of their education.
The school is refreshingly down-to-earth, the culture is non-elitist and unpretentious. At Stoke our aim for all students is that they become self-confident, successful and capable young people. An Old Stokesian will have a broad mind, a respect for others, and a desire to make a positive contribution in all aspects of life. They will also have a deep appreciation for the value of happy schooldays.
We, as pupils, students, parents and staff are all very proud of our school. We know that if you visit us, you will understand too why we feel this way and will experience our unique ethos for yourself. I hope you will get in touch soon and I look forward to meeting you.

Our Ethos: Learning for life
At Stoke College children learn in a secure and happy environment, where they are kept busy with purposeful and varied activities which challenge them. Through this approach they become increasingly confident in everything they do.
We are proud of our beautiful and historic setting on the borders of Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire. We have an extremely positive learning environment set in 25 acres of parkland where the children can enjoy space and freedom.
The site first became a seat of learning six hundred years ago and whilst we value this heritage, we offer a thoroughly contemporary education, concentrating on personal intellectual growth and on the development of confidence and character.
Our focus is on strong academic progress, providing too a breadth of experience and opportunity to develop character and help each child to discern their future. We offer a caring community that allows confidence to grow, talents to blossom and weaknesses to be strengthened.
