Teacher of Science (Full time )

With the expansion of our school we required from September 2018, an inspirational and forward thinking Science teacher to join our excellent Science Department. It is desirable that the successful candidate will be able to teach up to A Level in one Science, and up to GCSE level in two Sciences.  They should be fully supportive of the College’s ethos.

Graduate Boarding Assistant

Required from September 2018, an energetic graduate, with a commitment to boarding and pastoral care. The successful candidate will be fully supportive of the College’s ethos and is expected to contribute to the full life of the School.

With the opening of a new Sixth Form and the expansion of boarding, we are looking for a candidate excited about playing a key role as we develop full boarding.

Day Matron  (term time, 9:30 am – 5:30 pm, Monday – Friday)

We are looking to recruit a warm, personable and cheerful Day Matron who will be responsible for the health and wellbeing of all pupils in the school. This will include the initial assessment of pupils who are unwell and subsequent administration of first aid, accompanying pupils to medical appointments and/or accident & emergency

The role also encompasses daytime domestic duties in the boarding houses, particularly taking responsibility for the boarders’ laundry.

Child Protection issues are of paramount importance, as is confidentiality, and, as a significant member of the pastoral team, you will be expected to understand when information needs to be passed on and also when a pupil needs more specialist support around sensitive issues.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with children, ideally within a school or health care environment.

You must have a sympathetic and understanding approach with a good sense of humour anda passion for supporting children, ensuring that they are happy, feel secure and are motivated; you will be confident using computers, have strong administration skills and will have a ‘can-do’ approach to your daily role.

In addition, any flexibility you can offer to support the Head of Boarding with occasional evening/morning boarding duties (by arrangement) would be highly desirable.
