Dear Parents
I am very sad to inform you that our Head, John Gibson, died this morning.
Pupils in the Senior School will be told of Mr Gibson’s death before they leave school this afternoon. We are asking parents with pupils in the Junior School to tell their children this evening when they arrive home.
School will be open as usual for the rest of the week. We feel that it is important for the pupils to have the security of their timetable and routine of school.
Mr Parker has been confirmed in the post of Head, as was planned for the autumn term.
We have Mrs Gibson and her family in our thoughts. A book of condolence will be open in the old Library from Wednesday for those of you who wish to sign.
