Junior School
The Junior School creates a warm, friendly and family atmosphere in which children feel safe and cared for, and as a result they care for each other. At the same time it seeks to build the work habits vital for later academic success, so we will track the performance of every child and ensure they are making the progress of which they are capable, particularly in reading, writing and number work. The Junior School builds the capabilities from which children develop their capacities in the Senior School and further. It educates children from the ages of five to eleven.
Children grow up in a calm, purposeful environment surrounded by a beautiful, historic setting. They play, for example, in the old walled garden on the banks of the river - an idyllic setting in which to spend break time. They emerge into the Senior School as happy, confident and motivated learners prepared for the next step.
