The Senior School

The Senior School educates children from the age of 11 to 16. It seeks to retain the nurturing atmosphere created in the Junior School whilst teaching children to maximize their abilities in order to achieve the best GCSE results they can.

It is the College’s belief that children achieve best when they are happiest and most confident – fear and worry are seen as the biggest barriers to success. To that end we will ask everyone to get up on stage or to present an assembly for example, and to receive the applause for doing so, which has the effect of immediately increasing their self confidence. By the time they leave they are “Well-educated young people, ready for subsequent work and study” (2007 Inspection Report).

The Aims Of The School page tells you more about how we go about achieving this effect.
