Teacher of English

Stoke College is an independent day and boarding school for girls and boys aged 4-18, on the borders of Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire. It offers a unique working environment: small class sizes, a close-knit friendly community and a beautiful environment.

Required from September 2019, an inspirational teacher of English. The successful candidate will have experience of teaching English up to at least GCSE level and be fully supportive of the College’s ethos. The ability to offer Drama or a Humanity would be an advantage.

The post would suit someone with experience in either the independent or maintained sector.

Head of Boarding

Our focus is to provide a personalised education, where every child can reach their full potential academically and, as a young person, be ready to contribute their talents to the world.

For September 2019 (or January 2020), we are seeking an inspirational Head of Boarding. The successful candidate will be able to bring an expert knowledge of boarding to the role and be able to develop strong relationships with boarders, their parents and guardians and with all colleagues across the school.  They should be fully supportive of the College’s ethos. The role is open to teaching and non-teaching staff.

In addition, there is the option of taking on the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead as an additional responsibility.
