Admissions Process

If your child is interested in joining Stoke College, we would love you to come and visit or join one of our open day events. Dr Lloyd hosts a number of informal events for parents where you can ask questions and meet staff and pupils.

Our application form is here. We recommend that you fill it out earlier rather than later. Our places are allocated on a first come, first served basis and we have a waiting list for a few years groups at the moment. Earlier application also means that your child has more opportunities to make friends and get to know teachers before joining. You will be asked to pay an Application Fee of £250 (for everyone based in the UK) or, if your child’s main residence is overseas, our Application Fee is £500.

Every child who applies is invited to join us for a taster day, which will include a short informal interview with Dr Lloyd.  Our taster days are a great opportunity for your child (and you) to get to know us a bit better. We believe that joining a school is a two-way process; you need to interview us as much as we need to interview you!

If you decide that you would like to join us, we will need a reference from your child’s current school and details of any exam results. This will help us to work out how we can best support your child’s progress. When a place is accepted, we as that you pay an Acceptance Deposit of £750 to secure the place (for UK based families) or for those based overseas, the Acceptance Deposit is £1000. The Acceptance Deposit is refunded when your child leaves Stoke and their account has been settled in full. Please also note, students from overseas who require a CAS (Certificate of Acceptance to Study) to support their VISA application will be asked to pay a full years’ fees in advance.

We’re really looking forward to meeting you.
