Stoke College has really been getting into the festive spirit and the Boarding House Christmas Dinner was no exception.
Chef Paul and his team produced a mouth-watering three-course meal with all the trimmings, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. There were of course crackers to add to the festivities with the compulsory paper crowns being adorned and silly jokes shared with all. Dr Lloyd took the lead in toasting the accomplishments of the Catering Team and thanking the boarding team for all their efforts over the term.
The evening was rounded up with a fantastic presentation of certificates for the Boarders. Each boarder was awarded 2 certificates. One was more light-hearted and reflected their character within the boarding house and the other was more about the boarders’ achievements in the year so far. After that, each boarder received a gift which had been carefully selected by Mrs Bailey, Head of Boarding.
All in all, it was a brilliant way to start the festive celebrations. There was much laughter and everyone left with very full bellies!
