We were delighted to host a group of 15 students from Beijing Hepingjie No.1 Middle School in Stoke College last week, where they took part in two days of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) activities led by Mr Swain, our Head of Science. This follows last year’s successful visit which focussed on art activities and was led by Mr Reeves.

Our own Year 9 students worked in groups with our visitors to design and build an eco-house to suit the needs of our changing world. They considered ideas about the climate and sustainability and built some incredible models.

The Stoke College students were excellent hosts to our visitors, taking care of them and making friends with them over the two days.

We are looking forward to welcoming more students from Beijing Hepingjie No.1 Middle School when they return for another visit next year.
