The senior school pupils of Stoke College went to the Stoke by Clare War Memorial to lay a wreath in memory of those who died in the World Wars and recent wars.
Mr Jaina said a few words on the history of remembrance and then read out the names of the fallen from the village.
Stoke College celebrated Bonfire Night early this year with a firework display in their beautiful parkland in Stoke-by-Clare on Thursday night. The event, attended by pupils, parents and local residents was the first the College had ever done. Funds raised from the event are going towards their pupil-nominated charities including Suffolk Air Ambulance and Help for Heroes.
Stoke Boarding put on a spook-tacular event on Monday evening. Years 5 through to 11 were all invited and participated in a well-organised programme, which consisted of wand making, apple bobbing, potion making, forest runs, pumpkin carving, make up sessions and ghost stories.
The pupils from Year 1 visited the Haverhill food bank to present the donations kindly given by parents at the Harvest Festival today. The pupils were given a short tour of the Foodbank and were able to see how the food was stored and given a short talk on how the food is distributed.
On Wednesday we hosted our first U9s hockey fixture of the year with Gosfield and Cambridge International School as the visiting teams.
Our hockey team was made up of year 4, year 3 and even one year 2 player. Our young side did not falter at the tough competition and the bigger sides.
