We are open for applications for the Mark Wang Sixth Form Scholarship Programme for entry in September 2022 – up to 10 Mark Wang Scholarships for entry as a day student into the Sixth Form, up to the value of 100%. Entries for September 2021 are now closed.

This one of a kind scholarship programme includes:

  • Funding for day places for up to 10 exceptional students
  • A personal ‘success’ mentor

At present we only offer scholarships into the Sixth Form. We do not offer any bursaries.

To apply for a Mark Wang Sixth Form scholarship, you need to be predicted or already have achieved seven GCSEs at grade 8-9 (or equivalent)

A Sixth Form Education at Stoke College offers:

  • A wide range of A Level options
  • The opportunity to apply for a two-week cultural programme in China
  • Access to EPQ and ECDL Level III qualifications
  • Bespoke careers mentoring programme including support to access the UK’s best universities
  • Commencement at Silver Level on the Duke of Edinburgh awards
  • Continuity of education throughout COVID with our online teaching programme

We only offer scholarships into our Sixth Form and not into other year groups.

Who is Mark Wang?

Mark Wang is a Chinese businessman, educationalist and philanthropist. He oversees one of China’s top international schools, UWC Changsu. Mark is a disability rights advocate and is deeply committed to inclusion, diversity and access of opportunity. He has his own experience of this: aged 12 he was aboard a plane crash when it crashed. He subsequently became paralysed in both legs. Mark is Chair of the Board of Directors at Stoke College.
